Pembrokeshire cycling events

Two road cycling events are coming up in Pembrokeshire later in the Spring.

First is the Tour of Pembrokeshire on 26th April. The main tour, with options of 50 or 75 mile routes is fully booked, with spaces still available for the Sunday family ride.

We hear they are looking for a couple of volunteer marshals in Newport. We will be unable to help due to another commitment – sorry to miss it.

The following weekend, on Sunday 4th May, Velo Teifi’s Preseli Angel starts on the Parrog in Newport, with facilities provided at the Boat Club.

This will be the seventh ‘Angel,’ offering well chosen routes of 40 and 78 miles.  The views, especially across the Preselis are magnificent enough to compensate for the sharpness of some of the climbs.

Graham rides into Kenmare

Graham rolls into Kenmare after crossing the Healy Pass from Cork to Kerry

Back in Newport after a break in the Beara, in the far South West of Ireland.

The area is full of excellent routes along quiet back lanes with fabulous views. Graham enjoyed a few excursions made even better by superb early spring weather.
